Secondary Research

NME has a circulation of 38,386 within 2009, with a demographic of ABC. Focusing on males 15-24, NME provides a weekly issue of news of the rock genre. 

Total film focuses on film related news and articles surrounding new releases, to its 18-28 audience, which is published every month. Total Film is the second best selling of film news. 


Q is monthly music magazine, which targets at the 25+ audience. In 2007, Q peaked to a circulation of 130,179 however it has been revealed that these figures have dropped slightly due the development of new music websites, which is an ongoing issue for the mass media in general. 

With the past few years magazine circulation has boosted through the ongoing trend setting of peer social groups and the idea of 'wish list' as we take on an economic downturn.
